Did a bunch of transcriptions years ago for a book on planned communities -- and a couple of architecture/design books that wowed me were Vincent Scully&#039;s &lt;i&gt;The Earth, The Temple, and The Gods&lt;/i&gt; (Yale U Press, 1979) and Peter S. Stevens&#039; &lt;i&gt;Handbook of Regular Patterns&lt;/i&gt; (MIT Press, 1981).
